This station was built in 1999 and houses one Engine/Tanker and the fuel trailer.
It has a 30,000 gallon water storage tank below ground next to the station with a dry hydrant hookup. Pumper 1 is also housed in this station. Pumper 1 is a 1955 pumper that was given to us when we started to provide fire protection to the City of Hollister in 2003. It gets used for special activities.
Station 8 protects the largest geographic area of any of our stations in the Fire District. This area is sparsely populated, mostly Farmland and Woods.
