The classification of the Western Taney County Fire District, with-in five road miles of a fire station, is a class 4.
Over five road miles from a fire station is a class 10.
This does include the Village of Bull Creek, the City of Hollister, Rockaway Beach, the Village of Merriam Woods and the Village of Kirbyville, all are class 4.

Insurance Service Office (ISO) History
The Western Taney County Fire District officially started operations on January 1983 after the voters had established it on November 2, 1982.
*The original ISO rating was a class 9/10. Class 9 for everyone within 5 road miles of a fire station, class 10 for anyone over 5 road miles from a station.
*The districts first evaluation was completed during July of 1983. The first rating went into effect in January 1984 with a split classification of 8/9/10. The class 8 applied to areas within 1000 feet of an approved water source.
*After a reevaluation in early 1995 the split classification of 6/9/10 went into effect on June 1, 1995. The class 6 applied to areas within 1000 feet of an approved water source.
*After an evaluation during the summer of 2006 the following changes went into effect:
*As of October 1, 2007 the City of Hollister became a class 5.
*As of February 1, 2008 the village of Merriam Woods became a class 5.
*As of April 1, 2008 the village of Bull Creek became a class 4.
*As of April 1, 2008 the village of Kirbyville became a class 6.
*As of April 1, 2008 the City of Rockaway Beach became a class 5.
*As of September 1, 2008 the unincorporated portions with-in the Western Taney County Fire District with-in five road miles of a fire station became a class 6. Over five road miles from a fire station is a class 10.
*As of June 1, 2017 the entire Fire District became a class 5.  Over five road miles from a fire station is a class 10.
*As of October 1, 2020 the entire Fire District became a class 4.  Over five road miles from a fire station is a class 10.  Although, some Insurance Companies give a rating better than 10 if it is with-in seven road miles.
